Implementation of a cyber-secure industrial big data (IIoT) system with Edge/Cloud/Datadiode architecture in a chemical plant

This industrial experience shows how a continuous process chemical plant has evolved from isolated environments to an integrated, data-driven model. Through the case of Repsol, the implementation of an Edge/Cloud architecture that centralizes production, energy and environmental information is presented, guaranteeing high cybersecurity through IT/OT separation. This approach enables unified access, cost reduction, and real-time analytics. In addition, it enables simulation and digital twin, giving autonomy to the user. A case study of how to break down silos and move towards more efficient, secure and data-driven operational decisions.
