Advanced Factories was held from June 8 to 10, 2021 in Barcelona. What was the first face-to-face fair and congress held in Catalonia in 2021 in a context still marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, but with all the necessary hygiene measures to offer a safe business environment. Advanced Factories 2021 had the First Tinent d’Alcaldia de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, who stated that Industry 4.0 is a strategic sector for the city in the coming years.
For three days, Advanced Factories was the stage in which more than 200 exhibiting firms such as Omron, Bosch-Rexroth, Schneider-Electric, Accenture, Aggity, HP, Infaimon, Telefónica, Siemens, Tecnalia, Schaeffler, Sicnova or Eurecat, among others, presented the latest solutions in automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, software, production integration systems, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twin, artificial vision, data analytics or cybersecurity.
In this 5thedition, the CCIB of Barcelona welcomed a total of 10,267 professionals and congressmen from the automotive, aeronautical, food, electronics, textile, railway, metal or pharmaceutical sectors with a common objective: Discover the latest innovations and equipment to design more automated factories that allow the relocation of production plants and boost the competitiveness of the industry.
